Do cars that currently have USS get them disabled in a software update?

Read an article that Model Y HW4 doesn't have the new radar like Model S / X do. The theory here is that the radar won't be used over vision but merely to supply Tesla with more data to improve vision during training. So car breaks, radar data shows nothing infront so they use this to improve the vision only system.

For now USS is still used in cars with USS but also I suspect has Vision running and is used to improve that system. Maybe at some point it will become Vision only and USS cars will just exist to come up with data to continue to help improve vision. Maybe not but you never know.

Did 2023.27.6 stop using USS? Sure seems like it after my most recent update. My USS seem to be working very poorly on the 2021 M3 LR.

Nope. Mine works fine. Perhaps you have a fault.

Is 27.6 an FSDb release and if so, could it be you’ve moved to single stack, end to end, hence the removal while we (and this thread) is U.K. centric and we don’t have such luxuries/issues (delete as applicable)?

Just moved my car and can confirm that USS is still working with 2023.44.30.5.1
