I placed an order on a CPO last week, and am in Austin TX and car is in Houston. My Delivery person just emailed me saying the car will be ready soon and we need to complete financing. He said car will be enroute to Austin this week and to complete any final service needed. Should I be apprehensive about doing the paperwork and loan until I can see the car first (since it will be delivered this week and was told I can see it before delivery) or is this standard practice. My concern is I was told 4 weeks at minimum, and I will start a loan and accruing interest on a car that may not be ready anytime soon.... What has been others experience? I do want to see the car first and see what still needs to be done, can I just wait until car is ready to go to complete financing?

Yes, I picked my car up in exactly 7 days from the day I placed the deposit. It is possible. It is standard practice to buy it sight unseen because anything wrong will be corrected. Your loan won't start until the check is funded, I used Texans credit union, they were great. Congrats on the car and best of luck.

Spoke to Delivery Specialist this morning. he said that the car should arrive at the local service station in the next few days and that I can view it if interested prior to buying. He put me in contact with the delivery specialist and they are going to call me to view it and also allow me to request repairs before actual delivery. This is pretty comforting as I am not buying a car completely sight unseen.

It does indeed sound like you are getting a car that was reconditioned prior to being put up on their CPO site. Most financing decisions are fast. I received the Tesla financing APR and my credit union APR in just a few hours, so even if you wait until the last minute, financing should not be a problem.
