Washington (AFP) – This winter was the warmest ever recorded in the mainland United States, data showed Friday -- the latest sign the world is moving towards an unprecedented era as a result of the climate crisis.
The average temperature in the so-called lower 48 US states from December 2023 to February 2024 was 37.6 degrees Fahrenheit (Temperature Deviation of 3.1°C during winter months), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said, the highest in a record that goes back to the 1890s.
So we have a Temperature Deviation of 3.1°C in the USA during the winter months, more than double than the threshold of 1.5°C set by the Agreement of Paris!
This post is worrisome, so please don't look it up.
