Charging interrupted due to cold temperatures

I got a notification stating charging was interrupted due to cold temps. I went to check and the Tesla HPWC is not lit up at all. Breaker is not tripped. I went into the car and it says check external charging equipment.

I got the portable charging cable out and plugged into the same circuit (50a receptacle) and it’s working fine.

HPWC has been working for months. Any thoughts? No lights at all. Do temps affect the charger?

Im parked and charging inside the garage but it is 25 degrees this morning.

This is weird.
I had exactly the same thing happen to me this weekend. Been using the HPWC with zero issues for a few months and suddenly completely dead (no lights). The temperature was very cold this weekend (-26C) so that must be the culprit.

I will check the connectors when it is a bit warmer out but I suspect one is loose. I plan on getting ferrules this time to avoid future problems.
