Center Screen is leaking adhesive gel from the bottom

I have a 2016 Tesla Model X with around 113K miles.

The center screen is leaking adhesive gel from the bottom.

Instead of replacing the entire screen (which is expensive), is there a more affordable solution to fix this?

I heard someone here tried to drain all the adhesive gel and trying to put it back together but not sure how successful it was.

It's either screen replacement or bite the bullet and go with the MCU2 upgrade. There might be third parties that can do the replacement for cheaper than Tesla...

get the MCU2 upgrade - well worth it and you get a new center screen as well as new instrument cluster screen... you will ultimately do this, so do it early without wasting time and money on other approaches

You are in LA. There are plenty of third parties that can do the replacement for cheaper than Tesla.
