Well I am almost done. Paperwork signed. Certified cheque in hand. Bit of a last minute scramble really...

Here is the address for tomorrow: 2720 Britannia Road East, Mississauga, L5P 1B2. The map posted the other day is right. Jon said to be brave an keep going along Britannia past where 'you think you should be'. He hoped they would have a sign or 2 up.

Am I going to see anyone else at 1pm?

I took a swing by there the other day. There was a security gate right where Britannia Rd. and Convair Dr. meet. I decided not to proceed to the security gate and kept going along Convair and out of the airport to the north east.

I have the cheque in hand, ready for my pickup tomorrow.
Jon, the Delivery Specialist, says that the entrance to the airport area looks like it has security but it is actually open for people to drive through.
Looking forward to greeting my fellow Sig owners taking possesion of their new incredible vehicles tomorrow.

Model S is ready to hit the streets in Canada! Merry Christmas!!

Well for the BC folks: I stopped by Tesla Service on my way home and they have 33 Sigs all wrapped up in their whites...getting wet. Some were inside the shop getting amped up...there was a silver with grey wheels in there...looked good. Alvin said there was one more truck at the border that should be there later tonight. The front room had contemporary white furnature...so things look to be shaping up, and he said they are all ready for tomorrow. There were a few people in there beavering away on the computers...probably texting their friends... Hans gets in late tonight.

Hopefully, the weather gets better! Enjoy your presents (as I say in my most jealous voice).

A lot of action in Montreal also, with a few Sigs already inside : Model S Canadian Deliveries - Page 34

5 or 6 persons where setting up shop, with a few on laptops, so there must be some more paper to prepare...

Hans is here because he was emailing me about my insurance and plates etc.
This is bull about the rebate. I was told specifically by various people at different times that they would deduct it.
it is set up for it to be applied for by a dealer. I agree they have had lots of time to do the paperwork.

Hopefully the are able to deduct/apply for the rebate by the time production cars are shipping. I'm sure the year end rush to ship as many cars as possible isn't helping.

We are very grateful for these updates! Being on the other side of the Strait of Georgia this time of year is like being on another continent!

We are finally in the city now, after an 8 hour trip to get here through yesterday's storm-- float plane cancellations, ferry cancellations and then delays, etc. STILL I have no paperwork and no final accounting, so cannot do a bank draft yet. It may be quite a circus today. It is a good thing I have been meditating for 38 years, and am pretty good at staying calm.

I have my winters on. The TPMS tool went to Montreal with Mark, and the replacement was late arriving. It was supposed to come within the hour, but I wanted to get on the road anyway. As it happens I'm not getting warnings because the summer tires are piled in the back!

I don't know which Canadian Model S Delivery thread to post under, so I will show some photos here.
The delivery site is an empty American Airways site deep in the backroads of Toronto's airport.
It was beautiful to see rows of Model S cars waiting for their new owners. It will be a great 4 days of deliveries.
I will post a few photos of the event today and try to answer some people's questions from other threads. Someone asked today about connectivity, the screen says "3G".
I was afraid Canada would require something to disable the immobilizer or that you couldn't use the Internet while driving. Luckly, the car starts with no extra user intervention and the screen is fully functional while driving. Yeah!

Here is Doug G as one on the first people in Canada to get a Model S. Very happy for you Doug, you are a great ambassador for Tesla, so being first seemed fitting.

I took a chance today and went to my local vehicle licensing office. The clerk did not know if they had green plates, nor did any of her co-workers. She went back to check with a supervisor and came back with a set of Ontario Green Plates!
That's what the car needed as a finishing touch (it helps show the world that the beautiful Model S is a very special electric car) and now I can drive in the High Occupancy Lanes alone.

Ha! Did exactly the same thing. $22 later I was driving down 404 in the HOV lane all by myself. Loving this car! Handled the snow tonight really well.
