I purchased a pre-owned 2016.5 Model S from Tesla. I was researching how to improve the blind spot monitoring on the car. I pulled up a youtube video that shows how to adjust your mirrors to avoid the blind spots. I also read on this forum that some owners choose to keep the rearview camera on at all times.
I made both adjustments before a 3 hour trip this weekend. The combination of the two changes made a huge difference! The rear view camera provides a panoramic view and really helps to view what is happening around the car. My comfort level changing lanes has increased significantly. Just wanted to pass this along.
