This. I only found out because of a poster here asking me if it had one. Had he not I would have been none the wiser. Without any facts on this I would say the majority of buyers of this car do not have small kids, they do tend to buy the Y.

* For the record, this is not letting Tesla off the hook, or trying to shift blame to the buyers. This is still a clusterf**k.
I’m still thinking Tesla might argue it is accessible by lowering the middle seat.

I hope they don’t because that’s weeks of arguing with bureaucrats.
 
The most frustrating thing about this for me is I'm literally the target audience for this recall (we have a toddler and a newborn on the way soon) - but it would never have even crossed our mind to install our child seat in the middle seat 😰
My brother has toddlers and even in his 4wd he puts the seats on the outside seats as its too hard to lean in to buckle up the centre one and it keeps them from hitting each other.
