Anybody driving 100 miles plus a day??

Then you're on twice as many miles in a Model S than me... I would suggest solar panels on the roof, save some money $$$.
I have been thinking about it even if it enough to just charge the Model S but I'm not sure if I'm going to stay put where I currently am.
Even if you don't it's a GREAT investment. I just read the other day that home value increases $6,000 for every 1kW of solar added.
That is high. And only true if you buy the panels or have a prepaid lease. Otherwise the home value might only increase slightly or even decrease if you have an escalator in your lease.

I drive about 80 miles a day to and from work, if I have an errand to run I often get over 100 miles. In 2 months I have driven 3000 miles. I converted to PG&E EVA plan, I charge at night and it is clear this is saving me money. I charge to 75% / 196 miles, and most days I have over 100 miles left to go. Sometimes I get down to 70 miles, but no concerns about if I can get home or not.
That's almost double what I paid for my installation ($3350/1kW), so that number doesn't make sense. Maybe it's an old study, from when prices were higher.
Depends on where you live, weather, time of year (snow on the roof?). My 9kW system, in MA, on a good day, spring/summer, does 55-60kWh.
