Model 3 won't wake up from app OR in the car

Two days straight for me (has happened maybe six-seven times since last Septembe) where the car recognizes my iPhone (Bluetooth) to unlock the doors but the car/screen won’t turn on until the phone recognizes the car (should’ve used my actual key and/or card to see if it made a diff), or vice...

RPM Tesla Matte Carbon Fiber Dashboard Replacement

I have had issues with two different retailer’s dash covers (one single piece, one two-piece set). The single simply didn’t fit properly (had a bit of curvature to it, could see the wood underneath in some areas, wouldn’t stay “down” no matter what I tried). My two-piece fit better, stayed...

    Dashboard not centered?

Mine is the exact opposite…drivers side has a smaller gap.

    "Carbon" Dash cover

for those 2021 MY owners, be careful with some of these caps….they don’t all perfectly fit.

Delivery / Service Issues (panel gaps, delivery delays / issues / Service problems etc)

Scary the quality control. Or lack thereof. Nutty. Thanks all.

Mine doesn’t even have the foam surround. Will post a pic tomorrow morning. Thanks for the reply.

Delivery / Service Issues (panel gaps, delivery delays / issues / Service problems etc)

Now remove that plastic cover.....and look at your air intake....is there a surround attached to the air intake or not? Thanks for the reply!
  9. oalvarez

Air intake filter - yes or no?

Is anyone’s late 2021 year M3P missing the shroud/surround that would be directly attached to the air intake under the plastic cover in the trunk? Mine doesn’t…as in there‘s only the intake itself, nothing to be removed from it. Thanks in advance,

Can not set up tunein account

Definitely buggy in our brand new M3P….from a favorites standpoint…favorites in the top of the screen appears, disappears….I apply favorites to a given channel and the black star returns to white…..nutty.

Delivery / Service Issues (panel gaps, delivery delays / issues / Service problems etc)

Melted/warped keycards…..didn’t realize til taking them out of the wallet upon arriving at home. No, not the worst thing, but a bad look after paying $60k for a new car.
  13. oalvarez

Just got the car today but I am a bit disappointed with the quality of the back passenger seats...

Raises hand….another melted/wavy keycard recipient here….didn‘t realize until we arrived home though So back to the service center I go.

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

Thanks for sharing, only helps the rest of us and Tesla too. I’m shocked that the car passed whatever quality control check they have in place; the front windshield and door glass items are truly worrisome. A scratched steering wheel? Really? Tesla has to up their game. Sorry to hear of...

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

Ordered today: 2021 Model 3 Performance, black over white. I like the new door interior panel refresh, but I’m not 100% certain on the white (have had so many black over black cars, or black interiors, hence the change up). Got to test drive one some days ago, pretty much sealed the deal...

21" In Gloss Black - Your Thoughts?

Not feeling it. So overdone in my mind. Prefer silver of the greys.

Inventory versus new with refreshed design

It's amazing how little Tesla discounts their "used" cars. If bought a brand new one, owned I for a few months, and put very little miles on it (100-500), what would some of you pay for it? One other consideration, imagine the amount of interior wear that a showroom car gets.....just something...
  23. oalvarez

Why would anyone buy Inventory over CPO or New?

What I do know. If I purchased a Model S, owned it for a month or two and drove it 50-100 miles, no one would give me what I paid for it if I were to sell it. No one.
  24. oalvarez

Yet another test drive thread (sorry for the length)

Great review that echoed many of my own thoughts after my 24hr test drive. The upgraded audio/stereo system.....definitely underwhelming given the price of the option and the car itself. I expected more. The limited lengths of charging cable is another one along with the center console that's...

New Fascia for Model S? Do you like the nose cone?

Makes me want to order one. It's so much better in my opinion. Nice job, Tesla ;)
  26. oalvarez

What is your true Model 3 budget?

would pay as much as $70k, fully outfitted of course (upgraded/P type battery most important).

Tesla Model 3 Real Video Spotted in the Wild

like it more in that video than what i saw during the unveil. definitely a smaller looking Model S. nicely done, Tesla.

    Model 3 Dimensions

The Model S is not short either. It may not be Chevy Suburban long but it's far from being a short and narrow car.
  29. oalvarez

    Front End... Hmmmmmm

The front bumper/nose is one thing I'm not a fan of. I hope it changes between now and the final version.

    The Tesla dashboard design team

I care more about not having some functions displayed right above the wheel than the awkward floating display off to the right. It's my opinion that some functions/features need to be seen easily as opposed to having to look off to the side for them. I've driven a Model S many times now, love...

    Model 3 Notchback Trunk - Deal-Killer?

I'd prefer a lift gate and not having one might kill the deal for me. Might. I'm equally concerned about the traditional dash / non-dash aspect of the car as well but that's being discussed in another thread.

Porsche 911 out - Tesla Model S in?

^ yep yep....totally agree.....my 991 is pdk and hence my daily driver, i love being in it, i love driving it, owning it is a different story. ingress/egress, scraping up/down driveways, little utility, mileage scares the next buyer away, etc....anyhoot,

Porsche 911 out - Tesla Model S in?

it really is good to hear the varying opinions......i still can't seem to get over the small/large aspect between the two, it's pretty much the reason that is holding me back from ordering one. that and the fact that they're two very different experiences, both with their positives/negatives.

dizziness or nausea from driving Model S

test drove both a 90D and P90DL over the weekend....the 0-60 launch tests resulted in temporary nausea immediately thereafter. the torque really surprised me.

New Buyers Beware / Negative repair process

specific to the OP's problem/situation and this thread.... waiting 3 months for a rear quarter panel to be repaired is beyond ridiculous. it begs the question (of those who aren't forum members); how bad is it out there? there are enough instances brought up in this thread to suggest that...

Porsche 911 out - Tesla Model S in?

fwiw, test drove the P90D(L) and 90D over the weekend.....fascinating automobiles...but as i said above, night and day driving experience between the Porsche 991 and MS. my biggest takeaway? one is a very small car, the other a relatively large one. two entirely different driving experiences.

New Buyers Beware / Negative repair process

^ still, sixty days is still a ton (excluding the thirty that it sat for) to have an auto body fixed. i'm a prospective customer and i have to say that this and other (repair) stories are somewhat worrisome. the loaner car via flatbed is a nice perk but if i'm going to have to be without my...

also in the same boat (almost). currently drive a 991 Carrera S coupe (bought it used, second owner here)....have owned other Porsche 911s and luxe sedans so i can relate to and appreciate both. not to become too long winded, have visited our local TSLA store a few times now over the last...
