MYP is a fun, do anything utility. That happens to peel your face off.
I plan to eventually put UPP sway bars and skid plates on mine.
Anything that will increase the rolling resistance is going to affect range.
Heavy rain, snow, etc.. I've seen 20% decrease, if not more, of range due to environmental factors.
While I agree, one can only hope. They ought to just use the new MS plaid motors that are carbon wrapped. Tune them down, and offer AB packages. This would also reduce cost of the plain motor, standardize the motor for production cost reduction, etc.
But not a chance that is happening..
Most states are similar. I bought my car in VA, tagged in OH.
Both are 30+ days out of service. Or, multiple attempts to fix issue.
My cars been out of service 33 days since I got it SEPT 16, 2021.
So I just did a 520 miles trip. All went well, using Super chargers, heard the “typical” thermal expansion “clunks” while charging.
Here’s the bad side.
Day two of my trip, I got “turtle mode”.
Took it to service, didn’t even bother with an appt. Long story short, the Positive Side Power...
Your lucky. It took Tesla 32 days to replace my HV pack.
Then I had to return it next business day because they didn’t flush it right and it was low on coolant. It was so awesome getting those codes 12 hours after getting it back. /s
Hahah, people on Reddit are 100% positive I’m gonna rub with my set up.
Too bad they’re wrong. Haven’t had a single rub.

Loving it!
Just had my new tires put on MYP.

Love it!
Def takes harshness out. Even sounds better IMO.
Now to sell the P-Zeros!
I have a MYP.
When I mat the accelerator, it sways back. So if you want something that doesn’t, you’ll need to upgrade. MPP coil over system could do it.
Where online did you post your dissatisfaction that caused them to reach out?
Long story short, I’ve been without my car for 32 days. Got it back last night. Now it’s giving a service alert for low coolant. I’m furious.
Just got my car back 12 hours ago from not having it for 32 days. They replaced the battery pack. Today I drive it and this low coolant light comes on.
Needless to say I’m furious. Going to check the coolant level, but 100% thinking that they didn’t flush the battery pack enough. What a pain in...
Yup, hard to reproduce and almost didn't happen when I brought it in. I let the mechanic drive it and he luckily was able to reproduce it, and then did the same thing over and over and made it happen, over and over. Then they needed to figure out what was causing it. Went through the suspension...
Received my MYP in SEPT. Put into service three weeks ago due to a "clunk" sound on NOV 11, when the car wheels were axially loaded (slowly going into parking lot, backing into driveway, etc.) Turned out to be a panel on the top of the battery pack. Full replacement. Still waiting... With no...
So when you replace the tire, it goes with the PZERO, and doesnt get replaced. Got it..
Wasn't looking to put it into a different tire. Just didn't know what part it belonged to..
The stock wheels that come with the MY have sound deadening foam inside them. Is this adhered to the wheel or the tire? And this should stay or be taken out when changing to AS type tires?
Thank you,
Haha, just baiting..
So I had a clunk whenever the suspension was loaded off axis. Not all the time, but in weird, moving slowly circumstances.
Long story short, it took SC eight hours to find sound. Top metal plate on HV battery was buldging and then Making that metal sound when it...
This probably isn’t quite the thread to ask, but it sort of is..
For those that have wheel rub from running a wider tire, have you considered spacers? I’m considering it in the event I have some wheel rub.
And they’d be the minimum or smallest I can find. Nothing crazy.
Thoughts?
Let’s com
Let’s compare once we get them on. It’ll be a couple weeks for me as well.
Currently getting my HV battery pack replaced. Yes, the battery pack on my 2 month old MYP.
Just ordered your size set up.
Only difference is that I had to go with Pirelli Scorpion Zero AS+ tires. I’m active duty and the tire shop on base has a sale, buy 3 get one free. Couldn’t get the Michelins.

So for the flip side of this conversation, I wouldn't mind upgrading the PWS speaker so that when I do use boombox, the sound isn't so "tinny".
Anyone have any ideas on getting better sound from it? :)
Very nice, this is what I'm planning on doing. The added rim protection is obvious!
Out of curiosity, why did you not choose the 295/40R21? This would have given a little more forward leaning rake. The sidewall height with this would be 118mm vs the 103.5mm of the 295/35. The 265/40 sidewall...
I was originally going to do 25% all around. My installer suggested that I do 25% front and 35% rears. He suggested this because of the factory tint and allowing it to blend more vs being darker than the front. It is still sort of noticable, but I'm glad that I went the way I did.
My...
I did a clear bra PPF on my car. Sure as *sugar*, there's two tiny scratches from ?? on the hood, passenger side, by the A pillar. Do it over again, I would prob do the entire front. Likely the car. So yeah, I think full PPF would be ideal.
THAT would be amazing! There is a company called IGENEXT that do "boost" modules for the 3 and Y. I reached out and asked if they do them for the MYP, they said "we are working on it"..
BOOST 50 for MY
For those with single bikes, have you tried to just put it in the cargo area? I have a 58-60cm road bike that fits nicely into the trunk of the car (seats folded forward).
And yes, if hauling more than one bike, a rack would be needed.
The comment about the load being reacted by the mounting bolts would tell me that this is the weak link in the system. Would it be possible to increase the diameter of the bolts, utilize a stronger bolt effectively, thus helping with the vertical load limit?
No expert here..
Just a thought, but could time of day be a factor in the SC pricing? I know some areas of the country allow off-peak pricing vs high usage times of day pricing.
Do you think you will have issues with loading items into trunk? My meaning is, will the wheels rub when hauling stuff in the back? Thank you for update!
I just upgraded from a 10XR to a 13. I had no issues with wireless charging, now its a little more touchy in ensuring that its on the pad right. In Tesla's defense, I also have noticed its touchy on all my other wireless charging pads as well. Has to be dead center on those for it to work.
I...
Mine works fine. Installed it yesterday.
But it doesn’t have the emergency frunk release either. Rather concerned about that as if the system craps out, what do I do then??
