Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Delivery booked in for 11th Nov. Alexandria.
Has anyone else with a vehicle that came in on Cello received an invite to book in for delivery in Sydney?
If there's an issue with Caravel, what's the chances that vehicles on Caravel destined for Kembla and Melbourne have been unloaded at Brisbane and are to be reloaded on Cello?
Not sure if that's feasible, just a thought.
I just realised you had already been notified yours was on Glovis Caravel but no VIN. I guess I was a bit too excited and jumped the gun. Still hoping to see some notifications go out now that Morning Cello has berthed.
I've been watching Morning Cello and it only just berthed and now VIN allocation appear to have begun. Hoping to see some LR VIN allocation on this vessel.
For who have those already gone down the NL path, how do you track home charging expense to claim back as "Fuel"?
I was told by Autopia that I can provide charging history and power bill, but not sure what the best way is to track the history.
I can see the Tesla App shows the last month...
The data logging might be nice to explore; you can never have too much data. 😋
On my way home on the M2 I had a truck start to drift across into my lane with their indicator on, I wasn't sure they knew I was there so I planted it, and yep, that was a surprise for sure. Coming up the hill from...
Thanks Vostok!
All went well, however I didn't get the footage or record the ODO; oh well. It did come with a USB thumb drive though.
After waiting a little while to be let in at Chatswood, they got me to pull up my app and connect. They didn't check my ID or insurance, maybe that was a given as...
Well, the day has arrived. 🥳
Another Model 3 will be finding a home in the lower Blue Mountains this arvo.
I'll let everyone know how the pickup/inspection goes.
Fear not; I knocked up a twitter account today to notify when a specific change occurs on the Australian Model Y webpage. It should tweet within 5 mins of a specific change. It tested out okay using the Model 3 page, but no guarantees. 😁

Got the SMS this afternoon and booked in for the 20th. Bit later than I had expected but at least I have a date now. I was originally trading in my i30 but have decided to sell privately also.
Ordered 3LR back in July but deferred delivery till Sep. VIN has been allocated (again), invoice received, delivery stated 31 Aug - 09 Sep, and was told delivery could be completed by end of next week; no date set yet. Pickup from Chatswood.
Assuming that's what the B vs. K means. If that is the case, the extra power and torque may not be unlocked unless the speed boost option is purchased; who knows? If it's anything like the LR we test drove earlier in the year I'll be happy either way. 😁
According to the TeslaTap VIN decoder, the 7th digit refers to the battery type. So I would expect the 7th digit to reflect any differences in the battery whilst the 8th digit seems to relate to the motor/drive unit.

Have you booked a delivery date yet Pixor? I am aiming for maybe 2nd or 3rd week in Sep at this stage.
I am still not clear on how the current 5km COVID restrictions are applied in these circumstances. Tesla did mention that maybe deliveries could be considered if there were enough vehicle going...
In July I was allocated a LR M3 with a VIN starting with LRW3F7EB but I deferred delivery until Sep, so this vehicle was de-allocated. I have now been allocated a new vehicle with a VIN LRW3F7EK. I have not been able to find any details as to what the difference is between the B and K...
Update from Tesla via SMS today:
“Tesla Update: As previously advised, the NSW Electric Vehicle (Revenue Arrangements) Bill 2021 has yet to be legislated due to delays caused by ongoing restrictions. The NSW Government remains committed to this policy and intend for it to pass as soon as...
Does anyone know if there any truth to a rumour that there is currently some sort of COVID related shutdown at the Shanghai docks at the moment and if there is any impact to vehicle loading activities? Just watching Morning Crystal for departure and seems to have been docked for some time now.
Since the price drops last month the LR comes in under the $79,659 LCT threshold, even for a red on white LR (without the FSD package of course). Some LR configurations also come under the proposed stamp duty waiver threshold of $78,000 such as red on black, or blue on white for example...
I received the following sms from Tesla today.
“Tesla Update: Due to continued lockdowns the NSW Parliament has not yet been able to sit to pass the Electric Vehicle (Revenue Arrangements) Bill 2021. This will cause a delay beyond their advised 1-September start date. The NSW Government is...
None of the vehicle carriers currently scheduled to arrive at Port Kembla are coming from Shanghai. I have noted that sometime over the last few days that there are some LR M3s in the current inventory that have an “In Transit” status. I am keeping an eye on the remaining inventory currently...
Okay, so I called Tesla and confirmed that this is the VIN allocated to my order. To find the VIN, I went to my account and clicked Manage. Then right clicked on the page and selected View Source. Then pressed Ctrl-F to open the find dialogue. Search for the VIN letter sequence LRW (Tesla China).
I found a VIN in the page source code in June (LRW3F7EB6MC2…..). Still waiting for delivery confirmation so not entirely sure if that VIN won’t change. I have not been informed of a VIN by Tesla themselves. Expected Jul 20 to 03 Aug.
