I have realized that outside of terrestrial coverage in the city, it seems that I do not have a 7 second buffer in regular satellite coverage. Do you guys have any idea if there is any way that I can "reset" my buffer?

Now we have to hope that Tesla is not stupid enough to remove the SXM feature from the Model 3/Y software. After enjoying it for a few weeks, I wouldn't want to go without it again.

I am pretty sure you are right. In the city, where there is a terrestrial repeater, it’s a non-issue. It only cuts when in the country with no terrestrial repeaters in sight. In hindsight, a non-issue for me.

I didn’t plug the FM antenna back. I don’t need it and removed the FM from the source list. Even if I needed it, most stations are accessible on TuneIn or streaming

I just finished the install so I can't comment on that aspect yet. I've the signal cut near tall trees, but that's it. Once again, not something that would happen normally with another tuner. Either way, I highly recommend.

Quick update: I have completed my install of the C tuner in my 2022 M3 LR (Intel model). Worked like a charm. Once I rebooted the car, the SXM option showed up. My only minor complain is that the signal cuts easily underneath obstacles unlike my other car. No big deal, but it's like it...
