Buyers: Tesla is offering an installed Wall Charger for purchasers of a new Model S (inventory qualifies, but CPO does not). You must be referred by a current owner. If you do not know anyone with a Tesla, please use this link to be randomly assigned a willing owner. Referrers are entered into a drawing, but only three times so the randomizer spreads around the inevitable flow of buyers.
Full details of the program are disclosed to current owners here. It appears Tesla will give you a Wall Connector with about $450 toward the install costs in a typical situation. That is probably the cheapest an electrician would charge to run the 100 Amp circuit out to the Wall Connector on a very short run. It is more expensive for long runs and your panel/service may not support running that much current so you may have to run the Wall Connector at a lower amperage. You might be able run a 240V circuit to a wall plug and use the included charger if your install costs are high and don't get a mounted charger.
It is not clear how you will receive the credit, but presumably you would coordinate with your Delivery Specialist (DS) an install of the charging equipment prior to delivery and get the credit against the purchase at delivery and final payment. Do not wait to install your charger as home charging is one of the coolest things about driving electric--no more gas stations!
Upon entry of a referral link, you will be directed to the design studio to pick out your options and make your deposit. You will receive a page like the below that confirms the incentive:
You can confirm things were done properly by expanding your purchase invoice as shown below to see the $1200 referral credit:
Welcome to the club!

Owners: This thread is merely for advice to new buyers using the credit so please post any advice below. Do not post your referral link as new buyers should know someone or use the referral randomizer. It is fine to include your referral link in your signature block, but please remove the link once you reach the maximum of three.
