VIN 987XX in Production!

Congrats! I'm curious to see how long it is in production and if the do any additional testing after production completes. What's your estimated delivery?

Does it say you "entered the production queue" ? Really in production status is "is building your model s".

You are about halfway between my 90D and another 90D headed to Boston.
My VIN is 99068 and Poison Dart Brew's 90D - VIN 98468.

It will be interesting to see how much extra shipping time there is to get to Boston.
Mine says - in production queue as well.

Does that mean Tesla is getting close to producing their 100,000 car?

It's a safe bet that the purchases are now over 100,000. They will probably announce they are assigning VIN 100,000 tomorrow during the earnings conference call.

/edit Perhaps the first Founders Edition Model X will be assigned 100,000.

I have to hope that the Model X is going to start with 000001 in series. They shouldn't co-utilize the Vin #s betwen MS and MX.

Yes. On further inspection of the VIN system you are right, they wouldn't share the numbers. Perhaps they could announce that S VIN 100,000 rolled off the new multi car line, immediately followed by Model X VIN 000001.
