:cursing:VERY disappointed TMC members can't post FS anymore so here is Tesla Forum link:
FS SIG P85 autographed by Elon Musk | Forums | Tesla Motors
?? why, we still have a forum for just that and I see no restrictions : Tesla for Sale:cursing:VERY disappointed TMC members can't post FS
When I tried to post FS, I was redirected from the TMC market place to a 3rd party fee based site. Now if you try to add a new thread it just hangs in a blank screen!
I'm in the process of switching the marketplace over to a more organized format. It does interface with a 3rd party site which then automatically generates a forum thread in the proper place. At this time there are no fees for regular members besides what paypal might charge. But you wouldn't use paypal for a $100K+ car would you?
You can see a preview of it here: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/classifieds.php
Here's another site using a similar setup:http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/classifieds.php
I'll let you know when I'm done.
Sounds like the buyer pays the fee over 3k but this adds cost and needs the seller to be willing to put personal info on a third party site.

Doug:
I think this is a bad idea ... Monetizing the market place takes away a very big member service (especially for me having contributed millions of page views with my threads on TMC... Leaves me with a very bad taste on my keyboard!). Sounds like the buyer pays the fee over 3k but this adds cost and needs the seller to be willing to put personal info on a third party site.

Do the fees go to (A) 3rd party site, (B) TMC, or (C) some combination? I'm hopeful that a dominant portion goes to (B) rather than (A).It costs money to run this site too.

TMC servers are getting hammered right now, though.
What browser and OS are you using?
