Looks like Hankook paid TUV SUD to test the Hankook iON evo AS versus three competitors. Hankook provided the iON evo AS tires, while TUV SUD purchased the competitor tires from the retail markets.

The result is found at https://asset.hankooktire.com/content/dam/hankooktire/local/pdf/TÜV_SÜD_Tire_Test_2024_iON_evo_AS_0307.pdf

The Hankook iON evo AS finished:
  • 1st in handling on snow, wet braking, lateral wet grip, rolling resistance
  • 2nd in acceleration on snow (Pirelli PZero AS Plus ELECT 1st), dry braking (Goodyear ElectricDrive GT 1st)
  • 3rd in braking on snow (Pirelli PZero AS Plus ELECT 1st)
  • 4th in aquaplaning straight line (Goodyear ElectricDrive GT 1st)

Thank you for posting this.

True story, was driving in the rain yesterday with the Electricdrive GTs (18") and thought about how good they were. My efficiency average keeps coming down, ~6/32nds wear currently, and into the MXM4 range before I replaced them. Happy overall.

Based on these test results it looks like the ION Evo ASs are really upping the game. Wet/Dry numbers are very very good but they are head and shoulders above when it comes to rolling resistance. Impressive.
