Switching from % to miles and back

Anybody else find it annoying that this takes so many actions?
1) why can't the charging screen show both? There is tons of white space above the car with battery.
2) why can't I tap the mile or % to switch between each? Maybe one tap to toggle miles/% and double tap to go directly into charging.

My only guess is Tesla expects most people to "set it and forget it" and rarely toggle back and forth.

On the S/X those numbers are on the IC, which isn't a touchscreen and is more cramped. Over time I'd hope to see improvements, as the UI/UX designers explore the possibilities of the 3.

A quick way to do it is to make two identical user profiles, one with %, and one with miles. Then to switch, all you have to do is change the profile.

You have to tap to bring up the menu, then tap display, then tap the gear icon for the sub menu. Then select to change it, then close out. If it was just shown on the charging page that is quick to access. I know there is no real need to switch but I like to see both.
