Russia/Ukraine conflict

Do you call my region rich?) On the contrary, my region is quite poor. He is ranked 77th out of 89.
Agree it's not all about wealth, but for a 'poor' region your infrastructure looks pretty good from what you've said and you do own a Tesla, after all. Recruiting for the war is also about ethnic origins and other factors, but you can't deny the closer you are to Moscow, the less likely it is you'll be dragged into the war.

Anyway, in case you missed my earlier questions, why did Russia invade Ukraine in 2022 and how do you think your country will benefit if you win this war?

To be honest, I don't really follow politics, I'm a technical specialist and I don't understand much about politics. But I remember how during the shelling of Donetsk and Luhansk regions by Ukraine in 2014-2022, dozens and hundreds of buses with evacuated residents came to our region, and with what relief and hope they took the first step out of them. Therefore, I think that the initial goal was to protect the residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
What will our country gain? At the moment, I see a boom in industrialization. The sanctions have given a second life to many domestic industries in the country, which previously found it difficult to compete with Western production. Take, for example, my region: many fabric factories have opened (previously, most fabrics were imported), a machine-building plant has received a second life (it produces special civilian equipment), the same goes for a computer factory that produces consumer electronics (laptops, personal computers, servers, etc.).
I'm not saying that everything is good in all industries. There are industries that are still suffering. For example, civil aviation and the automotive industry. But they just need more time because of their technology.

PS Judging by the sales volume of the domestic manufacturer Lada, the automotive industry has already emerged from the crisis.

It's really not politics, although that answer is often given by Russians wanting to pretend nothing is going to affect them and they can't do anything about it anyway. It's all about your deranged leader wanting to go back in time and grab all the land and resources he thinks should be his and destroy anything non-Russian in order to make him more powerful and rich.

There's enough evidence to show what actually went on there between 2014-2022 if you look hard enough but it seems you're content to go with the flow and believe the future will be bright and properous. Your talent will ultimately be wasted like so many other intelligent young men in your country, which is a shame but if you don't wake up and stand against the evil and destruction your leader promotes, you won't have a future in Russia, because Russia itself won't have a future.

I am not sure why everyone is attacking AlekseiNovikov....he is offering you a unique view that isn’t from the mainstream media or YouTube....treat what he is saying as a resource....trying to convert him seems the wrong thing to do...he is already following this thread with interest
Everything is simple. My publications contradict what is generally accepted here. I understand perfectly well that I fell here "like a snowball on my head" (a Russian expression that describes an unexpected appearance, I do not know how correct it is in translation). The participants will be in the "denial" stage for a long time.
I have no goal to post all the news published by our media here in a row. My goal is to tell the truth, which is suppressed or distorted by your media. And, as I wrote earlier, to refute outright lies.

Russia is known for fake social media accounts. He may be who he says he is, but there are also a lot of fakes on social media coming out of Russia too.

Moscow may also be trying to minimise Ukraine’s capacity to strike the Belgorod region that lies just across the border. The city of Belgorod, the capital of the region, is just over half an hour’s drive from the border with Ukraine, making it a vital stop on Russian supply lines. The city has come under extensive shelling and drone attacks for months
