To be honest, I don't really follow politics, I'm a technical specialist and I don't understand much about politics. But I remember how during the shelling of Donetsk and Luhansk regions by Ukraine in 2014-2022, dozens and hundreds of buses with evacuated residents came to our region, and with what relief and hope they took the first step out of them. Therefore, I think that the initial goal was to protect the residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
What will our country gain? At the moment, I see a boom in industrialization. The sanctions have given a second life to many domestic industries in the country, which previously found it difficult to compete with Western production. Take, for example, my region: many fabric factories have opened (previously, most fabrics were imported), a machine-building plant has received a second life (it produces special civilian equipment), the same goes for a computer factory that produces consumer electronics (laptops, personal computers, servers, etc.).
I'm not saying that everything is good in all industries. There are industries that are still suffering. For example, civil aviation and the automotive industry. But they just need more time because of their technology.
