I think given the many repetitive threads on performance, this is perfectly fine to be broken into its own discussion. Its encouraging to see some independent confirmation of some of the performance claims.

I would even go further and say, everywhere that this subject has been brought up, this article should be shown as one reference of independent confirmation of the numbers Tesla advertised... and the 2.6s 0-60 time is better then what Tesla claims on their site...
