I have a 2023 Model Y. Since we've started having warmer weather, the trunk fails to open in the afternoon. As the day cools off it opens again.
I've tried the button, the inside screen, the app and all do the same thing.
Press the button, the trunk goes up an inch or so, beeps twice then closes. If I continue pushing up, I can manually open it all the way up. But then we I try to close it, it closes much faster than normal (not a freefall though) and slams shut
Already had mobile service out and they replaced both struts. Any thoughts?
to me it feels whatever detects that the trunk is hitting something might be getting triggered, but I wouldn't expect that to cause the trunk to slam shut when closing it in that case.
