Apologies if this has been asked numerous times. I myself have already asked this question on recent threads, but I'm still not 100% certain about what the maximum width of tire I can put on a 9.5 inch wide rim and not compromise safety etc.
Looking for advice/guidance from the Tire experts so that I don't buy the wrong size tires for my specific application.
I have a set of 20 inch wheels in the following specs:
Front wheels: 20 x 9.0 +35 mm offset.
Rear wheels: 20 x 9.5 +35 mm offset.
What is the widest tire I can go with and not screw up the speedometer and/or compromise safety?
I checked Tire Size calculator and these are the numbers that come up - note that the 295 width tire for the rear on the lower section of the screenshot below requires at least a 10 inch wide tire, which means I have to rule that out unless someone can tell me it should be fine on a 9.5 inch wide wheel.
