How much re-gen can you get on an icy road? I don't think much. OR about the same as you get while hydroplaning.

Yes, but that also applies to braking. No matter what technology you have: Braking, acceleration, regen and turning will always be limited to your available traction. Familiar physics most drivers.

With good nordic snow tyres you will get good traction on icy roads though.
