My only experience was driving my Dodge Daytona thru there in the mid 80's. Had NO idea what I was seeing. Maybe two or four years later someone explained what was going on there. I was still a big bike rider then (old Kawai cop bikes) but didn't seem like an event I would go to. I like big bike rides up Mt. Tam or to Alice's. Lots of brands, all about the love of riding. Not interested in the Harley fanboi experience. My only Sturgis experience was when I drove my Moto Guzzi there in 1976.
OMG. Mark your calendar for two weeks after the event for a surge in news about attendees coming down with COVID.Sturgis is on and expecting 250k attendees. This is a glaring contrast to our SOS event that was smartly and responsibly canceled.
Annual Sturgis motorcycle rally expecting 250K, stirring virus concerns
I recall reading that many sturgis riders drive their hog there on a trailer then just tool around the area. I guess it’s safer?Riding a motorcycle half way across the country is probably more lethal than their Covid concerns. Of course with the latter they are putting others at risk, which is a big difference.
Having done so multiple times I can assure you that's not the case.Riding a motorcycle half way across the country is probably more lethal than their Covid concerns. Of course with the latter they are putting others at risk, which is a big difference.
Which is not the case?Having done so multiple times I can assure you that's not the case.
