Well done video and kudos to @Onepointfive for the post.....it's one fun car to own...a real piece of art and history it's a wonderful car....I don't believe the noise the car generates is the gearbox....my many years of working with drive systems tells me the sound comes from the IGBT's commutating....they are mounted on heat sinks. Power electronics generate magnitostrictive forces that excite the metal to create the noise. The PEM is mounted right at head level behind the driver and that's where I believe the sound eminates. The sound the PEM generates is one of my favorite things about it....my Model 3 generates a similar noise from the front drive motor assembly.
I agree....any of us that owns a roadster is really blessed....I"m very fortunate @IslandRoadster relinquished it to me.....it's a wonderfull time of year in my part of the world to get it out for everyone to see and enjoy!
