    Calendar and Android?

Apparently, Nearby Device Permissions were added with Android 12, so the Tesla App on Android 11 keeps shutting Calendar Sync off. Of course, I've got a Comcast/Xfinity Motorola, and can't upgrade off 11 yet. Meanwhile, the Tesla App keeps assuming Nearby Device Permissions are a thing on...

    Calendar and Android?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. Turn on calendar sync on the phone, and it works. But the next time I open the app, Calendar Sync is off, and I get the message "Allow Nearby Devices permission to enable". No such setting in my Motorola One, Android 11. I have to turn Calendar Sync on every...

    HomeLink Stopped working

Ditto, ditto, and ditto. Although it's only happened once for me. Started after 2019.16.2 and rebooting cleared it. I had just read that Tesla is making Homelink an installable option that must be purchased separately, and then it stopped working in my car. You can imagine I was ready to read...

TACC - Set to Current Speed?

That's why I said 'figure out'. The difference is that the stalk in the S and X pushes backward, like the turn-signal/lights/washer stalk in the 3. Not having that in the 3, the suggestion has been made repeatedly here and elsewhere that a half-press of the stalk would make a good substitute.

TACC - Set to Current Speed?

Or... Tesla could just figure out how to make it work as it does in the S and the X.

    How to turn off audio/radio?

There is no 'Pause' for the radio. The workaround is to select a streaming audio channel and pause that -- but that doesn't even work for me on occasion. I've noticed that when the UI reboots (which it does way too often), audio starts up again. A random reboot, while the car is parked, might...

    How to turn off audio/radio?

I pinged Tesla about it and they indirectly acknowledged that it is a problem by giving me a possible solution, "I have forwarded your concern to the Service Center. An Adviser will be reaching out to your [sic] shortly to assist with your radio. In the interim, our customers have had a lost...

    How to turn off audio/radio?

Not an acceptable solution. If I hit the left scroll wheel and turn the radio off, I expect it to REMAIN off when I get back in the car. This feels like something that got broken with 2018.36.2. I'm asking Tesla about it.

TACC - Set to Current Speed?

I see the last post here was May 1. I can confirm that as of firmware 2018.34.1 3dd3072 (9/7/2018), this issue still has not been fixed. Things I've tried: Push the stalk down half way versus pushing it down all the way. I was trying to copy the behavior seen in the S and X, as above. But...

Did you name your Model S, and if so, what?

My Model 3 is Veronica. No particular reason. My wife asked what was my favorite female name is (other than her own or our daughter's, of course). I said Veronica and she said we can name it Veronica and call it Ronnie. Done.

    Random Model S sightings

(I know, "Photos or it didn't happen". Well, new phone and I haven't worked it out yet.) So I commented to my wife last week that there are more Model S on the road than Roadsters, so it's a wonder we hadn't seen any. Then, Saturday: Right behind a white Model S with a Pano roof where IL 53...

    The cast of characters

When I read "Nobel Klinamen", my mind went straight to Al Gore -- Nobel Prize winner, green tech advocate, partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

Perhaps, Al Gore Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers Although, I would expect Nobel Kleinman, if that were the case.
