yep, known issue. Best approach as noted is to upgrade to MCU2 which will make your car feel new from the inside with the snappy MCU. The upgrade requires both screens to be replaced (same price for upgrade), and your main screen will eventually leak anyways. This also addressed the EMMC...

yep.. early models have a rainbow, purple hue to the glass on top.. very pronounced with water on the glass. you've now got the best of both worlds!

Lots of folks getting the message in last couple of days. After getting over the annoyance, one has to appreciate that Tesla went ahead and let the message activate (pretty sure they could’ve controlled the message to come on later by software) a few months before the eight year battery...

the invoice shows that the HV & the DU were replaced. The DU is the latest and greatest and the HV looks to the the 350v version of the 85/90kwh battery (not reman) which is based on modern 100kwh battery chemistry. If this car has Free Supercharging, I'd jump all over the deal.

Your OG 2018 RWD probably is less than 5sec 0-60. It should be a tad faster than a stock 85 from 2012... But neither of these are "brutal" - for that you need to get into a performance version of any of these vehicles...
