Roof glass, how much does it weigh?

Looking at windshield weights, it seems they can weigh around 30lbs, which might put the top roof glass at 15-20lbs. Pulling 10-15lbs off the roof of the car with something that looked nice would be significant for me. Might be tricky to keep noise levels under control and also keep weight down though. A simple CF skin would be loud as hell. Nice for race cars but mine is not that yet!

I believe I read somewhere that the glass itself is supposed to contribute to energy absorption and protection in a collision.

Like this? I have one on my track model 3. It's lighter than the stock glass for sure. Saves around 13.6 lbs vs stock. I have an extra one i might be willing to sell. It's not just a skin so it's not any louder than stock.
