    Highland Rattle - URRGGH!

I hadn't thought of that. Can I get to it if there is anything.

    [UK] 2024.14.x

I went to 14.3 about a week ago, I assume I am a Guinea Pigs 😂 . I don't see any sign of the new update so that supports the theory.

    Highland Rattle - URRGGH!

I have had my highland since launch day, the last week a rattle has appear near/under the driver seat. I am struggling to find it as it only happens above say 50mph and I have got any friends to sit in the back and find it 😂 I have raised a service request as I assume this will be covered...

    [UK] Spring Software Update

The visualization is definitely very different, it picks up more cars further away, it attempts to see indicators and brake lights of other cars. Seems to get confused by the reflection off them though. It still does strange things though, like yesterday a stop sign followed be round all day 😂

    [UK] Spring Software Update

I updated to 2024.14.3 a couple of days ago, its messed with my spotify. Whatever playlist I play, spotify ones, liked songs or custom one, it only plays the first song and then switches back to a podcast I listen to on and off. Its actually extremely annoying as I have to select another song...

I have a Samsung S23 Ultra, which shows UWB in the connectivity settings (Switched On)

    Automatic boot - Highland

Anyone with the update managed to get the boot to open automatically with the M3H? I stood for about 10 seconds but nothing.

    Good bye

It's also £65k, it looks great don't get me wrong.

    Good bye

I have just had a look at the real world efficiency for the Ioniq 5. It only gets 235 miles from a 74kWh battery, that's is not great (315Wh/mi). https://ev-database.org/uk/car/1663/Hyundai-IONIQ-5-Long-Range-AWD
  11. P

    Good bye

I am interested to know why you went with an Ionic 5? I couldn't see any advantage over a Tesla or than having indicators stalks, which doesn't bother me in.

Arrive with minimum % battery - Navigation

Can you send the route to the car so it pre-conditions etc?
  13. P

Arrive with minimum % battery - Navigation

You would think there would be a figure so stop you arriving with 1%
  14. P

Arrive with minimum % battery - Navigation

Yes, I suppose that would work in this situation.
  15. P

Arrive with minimum % battery - Navigation

Does anyone know if there is a way to set the Navigation to arrive with a minimum amount of battery % remaining? The reason I ask, I did a long journey at the weekend. I put in the destination and the Navigation said I should arrive with 7%. That's greats except the nearest supercharger for the...

Tesla service & maintenance: the biggest difference with legacy car makers?

I didn't think of the whole franchise situation. That also makes things easier.

Tesla service & maintenance: the biggest difference with legacy car makers?

Its definitely a good point, I do not know of any other manufacturer that works like this. There are a few advantages that EVs offer in this regard, Less complicated drive train making it much easier to remotely diagnose issues. There isnt really the independent garage setup that you have for...

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

Smog is a term for visible air pollution, mainly caused by the effect of visible particles in the air, whether from burning coal or air polluting activities. It has little to do with Carbon dioxide in the upper atmosphere which is not visible, this is what causes the greenhouse effect. It would...

    Squeaky Brakes - Normal?

That's great advice thank you. I will have try and see where that goes longer term
  23. P

    Squeaky Brakes - Normal?

Yes, I will try and get them a good brake ever so often. I would be nice to have an indication of how hard you have to brake to actually be using them. I have come from a ford ranger where I probably only got 20k miles max from the pads anyway.
  24. P

    Squeaky Brakes - Normal?

I use hold, I will take the covers off and have a look. I will try doing some hard braking and see if that helps
  25. P

    Squeaky Brakes - Normal?

Hi All, Owned my M3H since release day (End of Jan). I have noticed this last week that the brakes squeak when stopping, it only happens for say the last bit of braking when coming to a full stop. Is this normal? I assume it is to do with them not being used with the regen braking and then...

    [UK] 2024.8.x

I do find on mine that you have to prompt it sometimes to put the full beam (plus adaptive lights) on. You can long press the flash button on the steering wheel to get them to come on. It isnt too much of a hassle but it seems to happen in you start you journey in a town and then go out onto...

The last update appears to have stopped the chime, it has on mine anyway (M3H)

    Residuals / Depreciation

If it is a company car, it is a no brainer due to the BIK and fuel benefit vs a diesel/petrol. I have moved from a Ford Ranger which was costing £0.30 a mile for fuel to a Tesla which is costing £0.03 a mile, over the time I anticipate having the car it will save over £16k just in fuel alone...

    Stalkless....until 2026 anyway!

The only car I have had that used a knob to go through the menu's was a BMW with the idrive and that was terrible. Always getting moved accidentally by passengers 😂

Yeah I am definitely not buying EAP, it is massively overpriced considering you only get lane change at the moment.

Sexy Buttons resume autopilot function - Brilliant !!

Thinking of ordering but cant decide. I still have the trial EAP for another couple of months. I also still have concerns about the warranty being affected
  33. P

    Stalkless....until 2026 anyway!

The rotary dial was just for the volume right? You have a scroll wheel on the steering wheel now which is just as safe.

    Battery Preheat - Down side

That graph appears to show it preconditioning below 20%, or am I interpreting in wrong?
  35. P

    Battery Preheat - Down side

This is clearly incorrect, the battery was preconditioning on the way to the charger. My Wh/mi clearly went up by more than short journey use when I added the charger as a destination and the display also told me it was preconditioning the battery.
  36. P

    Battery Preheat - Down side

It was midday and I had already done 30-40 miles in the morning (probably 2 hours before) so no it wasn't cold or early in the morning, it made a massive difference to the Wh/mi when navigating to the charger. I know what my normal rate is and it isnt 300+.

    Model 3 Highland warning icon

Since the last update I no longer get the warning sound, M3H. The little speaker shows as not muted. I am pretty sure if I do a 2 button reset the audible warning will return but I will wait as long as possible before I do that.

    Battery Preheat - Down side

Its more the embarrassment in my piss poor planning 😂😂
  39. P

    Battery Preheat - Down side

Instavolt, I used the satnav. Its definitely a lesson, I got a little lucky. I am waiting a charger to be installed at home and at work so I wont be so reliant on granny charging. I will almost never use a public charger in the future. I sure as hell wont get this low again. 😂 😂
  40. P

    Battery Preheat - Down side

It was about 15-20 miles to the charger, admitted I trust the % on the navigation as on the whole it is spot on. I wouldnt say it was cold (12-13 deg), I even turned the cabin temp down to 18 deg to help. I had already driven earlier and the reason I got so low was because I had an appointment...
  41. P

    Battery Preheat - Down side

It would be good if there was a prompt when you select a charger on the navigation to say 'Would you like to preheat the battery for faster charging?' I imagine that would be easy to add.
  42. P

    Battery Preheat - Down side

Hi All, I had a small issue at the weekend, admittedly this was somewhat down to some poor planning with my charging and an issue with my overnight charge. I was running low on charge on Saturday to the point I had to use a non-tesla charger. I put the destination in my satnav of the charger...

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

Thats an option, connected to the Tesla Commando adaptor but then it isnt much benefit over charging with a 3 pin socket.
  44. P

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

That's a funny one to answer, it is my own business so essentially the risk is on me. I am already using the 3 pin charger and haven't really thought about the insurance implication of this, a prompt to look into it now.
  45. P

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

Hmmm, I am not sure then, I will get the quote through from them and then I will more information. I am not sure if they are just putting money into the job for the sake of it because it is a business paying it. If I did go down the cable route it would be shared with charger at home, I would...
  46. P

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

Thanks for that, the issue is that the outlet/socket is a 3 phase socket which is for a red plug (5pin) not blue which I believe is only single phase. Tesla do not do an adaptor for the 3 phase plugs

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

I am looking at the best way of charging at my business premises, we are currently having a quote done for a Zappi. The installer has mentioned that we will need PME near the main incoming supply that will need to communicate with the Zappi located some 15 mtrs away on a seperate RCD Board. We...

My buddy is really trying to buy a Model 3

I love Tesla's ordering format, as someone who hates Salesman 'patter' and pretty much all human contact. Ordering like I am picking an iphone, limited confusing 'options' and then just picking it up with minimum fuss just suits me down to the ground.

[UK] What we already knew - EV misinformation in press - it’s not gone unnoticed

I just saw an article on Facebook title, 'Tesla want to charge me £20,000 so I can get back in my car'. When you read it, it say there is a battery fault which is preventing him getting into the car and Tesla have quoted worst case scenario, a new battery. It just shows the misleading headlines...
