We are going to get in our MX in about 2 weeks, so we are buying our Xmas tree next weekend and carry in on top our X5 that will be traded in with the MX delivery. Not sure what we will do next year... The MX does have a glass roof I think...
This is where I would be renting a local pickup. They cost - what- $20? How much damage? If it was a glass roof, you could clean it, but a metal roof- gad the scratches (as seen by birds!)
LOL. I'm sure "Ability to tie xmas tree to roof without losing ingress/egress" was a must have requirement for Elon. I can see it crossed off on his whiteboard in my mind's eye.
That would have easily fitted inside the car with the back seats folded flat and the base of the tree fitting through the front seats resting on the front centre console or even on the dashboard.
Only if you assume that all Tesla customers bought them for an environmental cause reasons. While that might have been true of older EV's where people put up with EV inconveniences and shortcomings just to be "green", Elon set out to change that by creating a desirable car which people buy not primarily because they wanted a "green" car, but because they desired the car for all of its attributes. He succeeded.
