There has been a lot of discussion of self driving hands free systems with a lot of controversy and discussion.
Here is a list of recent reviews of the systems from various manufacturers.

Edmunds: super lame: says Tesla is the worse because it is jerky on the streets, but the other systems don't work on the streets.
Autopilot review: says tesla is the best by far.
Yes, that's a factor that they often don't consider. Many of the other systems have severe limitations as to when and where they can be used. Tesla is bold to go anywhere.
 
According to Consumer Reports the best driver assistance program is Ford's blue cruise. Chevy Super Cruise comes in 2nd. Tesla is now down at position number 7, having been passed recently by VW and Nissan. Though Teslas "Capabilties and Performance" are tied or close to the best. CR dings them pretty bad over driver engagement and being clear about when it is safe to use.
