I like this thread...

From 2010:-
Skoda Fabia VRS Limited Edition (1.9 Diesel engine, it was a pocket rocket !!)
Skoda Octavia Elegance + Vauxhall Corsa (other halfs)
Changed the Octavia for a Seat Exeo Estate for the bigger boot for work (essentially a Audi A4 with the Seat logo slapped on)
Mazda CX5 + Toyota Aygo (other halfs)
Changed the CX5 for the Model 3 LR
Recently handed the Model 3 LR back to the leasing company and got XC40 recharge twin motor through SalSac and changed the Aygo for Renault Zoe (2014). so now a fully electric household🎉
Wasn't sure I'd see any Skoda on here. Mine were:

Skoda Fabia vRS diesel (2005-2012) - 100% reliable, never a single issue
Skoda Octavia vRS diesel (2012-2020) - Also 100% reliable
VW eGolf (2020-2021) - Traded in for the ID3 when VW were giving them away due to Dieselgate
VW ID3 (2021-2022) - Almost rejected the car after 2 months due to software nonsense. Traded in after 12 months. Got more than I paid for it
M3LR (2022-)

I like this thread, some people have had some very very nice cars and some have had an awful lot of nice cars, was particularly nice to see some pictures too, must say @Oxid8ter I like the way you keep your cars.
Of course, we are all nuts spending so much on cars and suffer the costs of running them - but they sure make us feel good.

nowt wrong with a Skoda, the days of them being the butt of all jokes are long gone. I have had 4 in total over the years and both my nephews who has recently passed their tests have Skoda as first cars, as you say 100% reliable. Was tempted to move to the Skoda Enyaq for my latest but it got a bit too expensive with all the options I wanted, IIRC back in the day it was more simpler choosing a Skoda in that you only had a trim level to choose from... classic/ambient/elegance, etc. or maybe it just me getting more fussy :)

75bhp fiat panda diesel that weighed 800kg's and was a hoot, followed by mercedes E-Class diesel when the panda disintegrated (we buy any car paid me £50 for it😁).

2019 Tesla model 3 piqued my interest, coupled with numerous benefits buying the car though a company, meant hello EV world and nearly 100K miles later can say it would take something special for my next car not to be a Tesla

2003 Rover 75 Tourer, with BMW chain drive CAM engine automatic with white leather interior. Bought used at 59k, took it to 238k miles before COVID got it - worked from home the 75 was parked next to grass bank, the lack of use meant sills went all down the grass bank side due to damp. Got relegated to using a Micra C+C convertible for commute after my other half replaced that with her small battery, low range EV van (semi converted to camper). A trip that should have taken 4hrs but took 8 due to poor range and dire charging opportunities lead me to seeking a new EV and finding the 2021 Tesla M3 mid February, an accidental purchase that still leaves me grinning with delight

Thanks @GlynG :)

I very much love my cars and care for them whilst I have them. Sadly I regularly get my head turned by something, want it, and get it... then wish I still had the old car, so its nice to keep pictures of them to look back on.

I wouldn't say I ever regret getting rid of the old car, or getting the new one, I just need to win the lottery so that I can just buy the cars without selling the current one and build a collection :D
