Weird phone call from local Tesla rep

I'm from Georgia and my inventory order is scheduled for pick up this week in Florida. I already made my final down payment and accepted Tesla finance in the app already.

Today I got a call from a local Tesla rep saying I can not take delivery from FL because Georgia is one of those weird states (her words) where they don't allow that? She ask if I'd like to see if anything available here locally or I'll lose my deposit.

Is the local sale center trying to meet their sale numbers? This seem weird and fishy.

They did have that info.

You should be able to buy a car from out of state, but it does look like GA makes it challenging. More likely Tesla doesn't want to get involved in that process.
