You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.

Is this USB connected to the Alpine head unit, and usable for music playback or map updates. Or is it only for software updates to the car?

I was hoping to switch out the Apple connector to an normal USB plug that I can connect with music on.
I don't think that's how you update the navi on your model. I could be wrong but I believe there's a SD card slot just below the CD port. In fact I think I can see it in your picture in post #8.Tried to update the Navi today. Went to the navi as explained in the menu, plugged in the USB that I found by the fuses, and absolutely nothing happened... Any tips?

Note that I was warned by my ranger at the time that sometimes those fuse box usb cables weren't installed properly at the back of the head unit. In my case it was fine.
