Would stop the speculation about cars produced per day but wouldn’t stop the speculation of why only 200 cars today and 689 yesterday etc.... And wouldn’t stop the FUD.

Could put a qualifying statement if necessary. I'd much prefer to remove all speculation. If the stock trades lower because of facts, then OK, but trading lower on FUD is horrible.

he meant level 3. current hardware can do up level 4 "with mapping", but they decided to design next level hardware which will offer autonomy as people understand it.

I am telling you that is complete BS. To do level 4 the amount of data needed to be processed real time isn’t just 2GPU. I will leave it at that.

Also HD maps is needed regardless of HW is being run on. :). Please don’t lecture me on AD and ADAS functionality. I just find it amusing that is all.

Because you didn’t work for him.

Like I said the decision he made internally and sacrifice he decided. Isn’t kosher.

Good or bad. It doesn’t really matter to me.

Because everyone warned him and he just never listens. That is the difference between Steve and Elon. Like I said. SV is a small fraternity :). Everyone knows everyone :).

Oh, you be one of those sources familiar with...

I live in Mission San Jose which is about 10 min drive from TSLA factory in Fremont.

ASIL rating is a safety requirement that includes no fail and full redundancy. For level 4 and above you will need to be ASIL D certify. In addition, the cluster itself because of safety requirement should be a minimal of ASIL D- because it safety/mission critical. That LG panel based on the data sheet I have seen isn’t.
You are clueless.
ASIL has nothing to do with "mission critical" etc. And I am sure LG panels are aSIL D rated, just like their sisters in Bolt.
After all, it is difficult to die from 5V.
ASIL evaluates what can happen if the piece in question fails. In the case of the infotainment panels the answer is nothing dangerous. It is not a critical component. To turn right and stop you don't have to know your current speed.
If you look at original press back early in the year. Elon was the one claiming his 2.0 equipped vehicle was capable of fully autonomy with only software upgrade. Then couple month ago finally admit that new main compute box is needed. While it’s free of charge- you really think this is free? The money for retrofit has to come from somewhere. To do this right, it’s not going to be $3000 premium that TSLA has already charged customer. The cost for this retrofit will cost Tesla more than $3k if the intention is taking the car to Waymo level of autonomy.
No he wasn't. Provide his direct words.
Tesla can do Waymo autonomy NOW.
It's just too expensive. It is less expensive for Google, because they have basic mapping done already. But even Waymo is very cautious with expending their network.

lol. Tesla autonomy specialists are not in Fremont.
Tell you fantasies elsewhere.

well thanks for the insights, but back to market action...
this has been an abysmal few weeks
jeezus H christopher

1. You probably don’t realize that I have that exact panel on my desk at this moment :). And no. The power is actually provided by the 12V network.

2. Tesla can’t do Waymo autonomy. One simple fact- there isn’t failsafe redundancy build in. You should really spend time understand what Waymo and zoox are doing vs what the stuff that Tesla has right now:$

since you’re new, there’s a thread for autonomy to continue this interesting debate.

As I understood it, the cars are delivered and in the interim Tesla took the hit on the rebate. So I guess the owners now need to claim it and then transfer the money to Tesla.

Or something like that.

Telsa offered to refund people's deposit ($2500), not to pay the Ontario Rebate ($14K) for them.

New Tesla owners on hook for $14K after sudden end of electric car incentive program

"While still a bit of a financial stretch, Cheung said his father put down a non-refundable deposit for his "dream car" the day before the election."

"Tesla has offered some customers refunds of their deposits."

I’m looking at the daily.
It’s a sell at the open at the highs and that is where the highest volume is. Then once well below vwap at the lows there is only modest buying and again a slight increase in volume of sales as we creep back up. On a daily you’re getting lower highs

It’s definitely a consolidation pattern over several days but my bet is that it gets resolved lower. I’d sell it all at 320$ if I didn’t have the calls sold across the posit. Their price is now down 50% so I might buy them back for a 50% gain and close the position and start to rebuy it under 295$
