Tesla removed the old Model 3 Performance edition from its configurator with the release of the Highland refresh and ditched all of its mentions. The move is seemingly in preparation for the release of the 2024 Model 3 Performance that will be priced at a $55,000 equivalent.

At $55000 starting price only the basic spec (grey w/black interior) would qualify for the US EV tax credit, assuming the battery sourcing passes muster.

Still cheaper than what many of us paid for 2021-2022 M3Ps.

The article says for China only, but if it were manufactured it seems it would be marketed in Europe and Australia just like the rest from Shanghai.

I have my doubts for a tri motor Model 3 anywhere really, at least for now. Maybe they would do something like that in response to a competitor if they should produce something with greater performance than a Model 3P.
