Thinking of trading 2018 M3 LWD for 2018 MX 100D with FSD

I've been thinking about trading in my 2018 Model 3 LR (FSD), for a 2018 Model X 100D (FSD).

Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it, or if that particular year / manufacture date of the model x had any major known issues.

Upgrade in all things, except that dash. That would be a major meh for me.

I drove an older X for a week while the 3 was in the shop. The interior on that X was atrocious, loved everything else about it though.

You would want to know if it has MCU1 or MCU2. Builds before April 2018 had MCU1 but it could have been upgraded to MCU2 for about $2500.

I have essentially your currently model 3 and this model X (mine is late 2017, very similar to 2018). I love the model X but it has always felt much more dated. In particular, the first thing that pops in my head is wishing it had the pop up camera view when you put on the turn signals. It does not. Tesla has always put more effort into the OTA updates for the model 3/Y. The vertical screens get left further behind as time goes by.

You can’t have fsd without mcu2 so I assume it is already mcu2

It can have FSD capability listed as a spec on the car without having the ability to download FSD Beta because of MCU1. Statistically, a 2018 is more likely to have MCU2 tho.
