I sat in a grey interior with the black alcantera headliner once. I know it's psychological, but the space felt more closed in. I also couldn't help but be distracted by the safety notice on the sun visor. The white on black contrast is eye catching, even in the dark. I think if I had the black headliner, I would have to remove that notice.
BTW, my previous car had the obeche gloss trim. I thought it looked very classy and never had a problem with glare.
