Surcharging Tesla with another account

We have a model Y that’s under my husband’s name and it is the only Tesla we have. I added it to my Tesla account so I can control and drive it. I have some free credits that I just redeemed for miles in the hope of charging our model y on our road trip. However, it keeps charging my husband’s credit card without using the free miles in my account. What should I do? Thanks.

Might be able to contact Tesla and have them transfer them to your husband's account. Or transfer ownership of the vehicle to your account.

Yeah, only if I could get hold of someone on the phone….

Add your acct as an authorized driver, drive to supercharger under your phone key/key tied to your driver profile, charge.

This is how it seems to work with rental model 3s.

Both cars need to be in the SAME Tesla account if you want to share supercharging credits. This is the only way. Adding other users/accounts as drivers won’t work.
