Within the last day or two charging prices have gone up substantially. Within my area and Northern California, everything that used to be 31 cents is now 36 cents and everything that was 28 cents is now 35 cents per kWh. Anyone else seeing this?
I’m seeing this too - I can’t find any announcement though. Super frustrating for those of us that were sold on cheaper supercharging as a value of buying Tesla
We never want to pay more but at the same time we know gas prices fluctuate. Why wouldn't we anticipate electricity prices to fluctuate too? And Superchargers are for long trips, not for day to day, in general so it shouldn't be a major pain. The "problem" in the USA is that gas prices are too cheap and so electricity looks pricey. Pretty much everywhere else in the world the fuel costs more than electricity so this is never a problem
SOOO many people misunderstand what that is saying. That is a very broad, overarching, average kind of thing to give people a general idea of what things are going to be like. Every single location has its own pricing now, so that 28 cents number will not be "accurate" for most of the locations, because they differ all over the place.
Palo Alto Stanford Shopping center was $0.30 on Saturday. Petaluma was $0.36 yesterday, however they were doing TOU and that was from 9am-9pm. 9pm-9am was $0.09. Not sure what they were prior.
