Thanks for the updates! Can't wait! Been waiting for this for over 2 years (when an employee at the Tesla store in the mall first said they were thinking about it).
Just wondering... what’s the record wait from a time a supercharger is completely finished and it opening? Could they seriously not open it for another couple months like someone said here?
According to Supercharge.info, the Dublin, CA - Fallon Gateway site has been in construction status for 591 days. It has been substantially complete for significantly more than a year.
Quick update as spoke to another worker and he said could be later today! Here are some more pics . Btw the quickest way to get there and avoid all the ramps is to enter in the pics below. Right at the end of the street and make a turn at the AMC Sign and again at the AMC sign enter the parking which looks like a long flat runway and the charger is at the end on the right side. Much easier than navigating through the ramps.
Just to clarify the “tunnel” or large flat runway is between the parking garage and the AMC sign that’s next to the Buffalo Wild Wings and lazy dog cafe and seen by the cars entering and leaving
I respectfully disagree. Although I think we are close, the button action on the handle used to release from the car does not require electricity. Compare this to a mobile connector plugged into a car without being plugged into the wall. Functions this way as well.
If you are able to press the button on the charger handle and it activates/opens your charge door, then we are in business and the station has power.
This location has been the most Frustrating Opening ever!!! I remember when Southbay literally had SpaceX Location and Redondo Beach area opened and it was such a pain to charge. Little by little more locations opened it and it was so quick . I pass through here about 3 times a week during my routes and I’m mind blown how long it’s taken.
can’t wait tho! This should be a great location expanding more into SouthBay
