Not familiar with this area but this seems quite a ways off the main interstates. I would love for someone local to chime in.
Not local at all, or even a Tesla owner.

But this is at an Albertsons sub-brand. Tesla already has some at a few Albertsons, so I think this is just a way of expanding using an existing relationship.

Another Idaho supercharger for @Rocky_H !
Uh, wow, yeah. It's unusual these days they can sneak one all the way to opening before someone finds it. And I laughed at first, because it's ridiculously close to another one that is already in Burley, a very tiny town (population 11,863). But then it makes a little sense, because the route between Boise and Salt Lake City is a very busy one, and the intermediate Superchargers are starting to get kind of full. I've seen Tremonton Utah full a few times, so they're having to add a bit more capacity at places along here. And with as remote and sparsely populated as this area is, they're just going to have to go in these small towns and sometimes the same small town.

Maybe still hope for Mountain Home?
Yeah, Mountain Home seems likely in the next several years. It's about a halfway split in the 125 mile section between Boise and Twin Falls, so it helps in a fallback type of situation if there is trouble with either of those or someone underestimated. And Boise to Mountain Home and turning off the interstate onto state route 51 South to Elko, NV is a drive I've done before. That was one of my early adventurous ones, where I was charged to full and left my garage showing -2% at arrival.

There really needs to be more North-South chargers in Idaho. I do wonder if it's Tesla just not able to get agreements for land use, or if they just don't care to try...
Yes, Tesla's tunnel vision on interstates has been frustrating in this area. Getting up into the middle of the state to Cascade, McCall, Stanley, Salmon, etc. is still very difficult.

Considering there's one nearly-the-whole-state-long North-South route, it's really sad that they still have blinders on about it. And it's a US Highway too!

Yeah--380 mile gap between Superchargers. That one is pretty sad.

McCall, ID finally got a Chargepoint DC fast charging station with CHAdeMO and CCS, so there's at least something there now. I have a CHAdeMO adapter.

It's no big deal to you being from Boise, but the 159-mile Boise to Burley stretch sucks for through traffic. It's mostly 80mph speed limits and it can be windy, so those of us with <300 rated mile cars have to either do a range charge on either end (very slow in the old S/X models) or drive below the speed limit. Twin Falls is an option of course, but it's a significant diversion and it's an old v2.

For those traveling further north a ChargePoint DCFC in Grangeville is just waiting for a transformer. No fast charges north of there until the casino in Lewiston gets theirs repaired (it’s been months)

Heh, I AM one of those people with less than 300 rated miles!! Mixed response on your two points. I feel people whine about the 4 minute "significant diversion" of Twin Falls to an incredible degree.

However, you're right about the rest of it on that route, that it's awkward one way or another. Looking at the section specifically from Boise to Tremonton, there are two choices of charging points in the middle: Twin Falls or Burley. And whichever one someone chooses, the gap on the other side is uncomfortably long. They built Burley because Tremonton all the way to Twin Falls was tight, but then if you use Burley, that distance to Boise is tough.

Also, once they put one in Mountain Home, it will be possible for through travelers to just skip Boise. Just do something like Ontario-Mountain Home-Burley-Tremonton.
