Maybe the new Buc-ees just East of this location with a supposed 24 SC stations, will "alleviate" some of the congestion(?).

24 more stalls should definitely help!

Also, I think there might be a significant overlap between serious eclipse watchers and Tesla owners, adding to the already unusual traffic load
The more Buc-ees the better though. I have yet to see a place with a business model more suited to Supercharging!

yeah. only normal days the Dallas - Denver corridor has plenty of charging stalls. The Amarillo bottleneck was greatly fixed already with the Toot'n'Tatum charger and with Vernon, Quanah being live and Wichita Falls coming soon... no need to do a V2 charging stop before Amarillo either. The *only* future problem I see is Clayton, NM. it's a *must* stop for most - unless you are charging to 100% in Amarillo and the weather is favorable - but only has 8 stalls.
