I'd say that's normal give or take some, but especially since you're out east. It's just surface rust though, it's not going to affect the way the arms operate
I’m curious. Do you wash/pressure wash the car, wheel wells, undercarriage etc..after the winter? We had a mild winter here so not much salt this season. But after two NE winters mine doesn’t look like that. Looks like a good excuse to replace those with nice blue MPP suspension arms
Pretty normal. Quebec is worse than Ontario with a longer winter as well. If you plan on keeping it you may want to consider annual sprays with Krown or Rustcheck.
Should I scrub everything clean before applying the products mentioned in this thread? Pressure washer, soap, brush? Do I need to be careful not to spray on some parts? Obviously I wont spray the brake pads, but what about the arm pivots.
I think I read that Tesla says that rust proofing isn't recommended for the car. Now I'm going to check my car when I change over the winter tires next week. The suspension components on my last car had rust in that pattern as well.
