The UK government has privately urged Germany to provide long-range Taurus missiles to the government in Kyiv as London expressed irritation over comments made by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz about British activity in Ukraine.

Seems there are plenty of Russian spies in the West. Just arresting a few and the West would have bargaining chips for the hostages Russia continues holding.
It's great that lots of things like this are out in the open now. I'm unfamiliar with France's legal/intellegence/penal system; can France just round the pro-Russian bastages up and throw them all in jail?
Or are their hands tied by legalities like presumption of innocence, the right to remain silent, or other such legal niceties?

In the UK, whoever becomes PM will have little effect. Both Labour and the Tories are fully behind supporting Ukraine. However the Russians have infiltrated a number of parties in other western democracies and if the current leadership is turfed out, the most likely person to replace them would be very pro-Russia.
This is particularly true in the United States. Whether the United States remains a democracy is on the ballot this year.
The Russians have been very active in building their spy network in the west over the last two decades. They have managed to co-opt a number of political parties in western countries.
The last occupant of the White House appears to have handed over a fair number of American and western assets on the ground in Russia. He had two meetings behind closed doors with just him and Russian leadership and shortly after both meetings the intelligence agencies saw a lot of their assets go dark. The evidence is circumstantial, but considering how loose he was with security, he probably did give up agents to the Russians.
Because quiet dissidents in Russia have come forward since the war was in the planning stages, the network has partially been rebuilt, but I'm sure there are still holes.

NK probably doesn't have any more to give Russia. NK's artillery shell production is probably not a massive rate. They had a fair number of shells to sell to Russia because they have been steadily producing them for decades. They probably sold Russia their old stock that was not very viable. There were reports that Russia's dud rate for the NK shells was very high.
