Donation to Tesla to pay for SEC settlement. What the heck? I ordered this and now it's not showing up in my Vehicle Details either...where did my $3K go?
I'm guessing that it will re-appear as an option when FSD-specific features start to roll out with HW3. I'm guessing it was to reduce confusion as to why people were paying for features that were not available yet.and then what?
Still available on S and X!?I'm guessing that it will re-appear as an option when FSD-specific features start to roll out with HW3. I'm guessing it was to reduce confusion as to why people were paying for features that were not available yet.
When it does come back, I'm guessing the price for FSD will increase. But those that already purchased it will be grandfathered in. Tesla is not abandoning FSD, just not making it an option to purchase after next week until it materializes.
Yep, but I'm guessing they will be removed from the S and X configurator in the near future as well.Still available on S and X!?

I wonder if this is an effort to reduce the MASSIVE volume of cars that will require HW3 computer swaps in "6 months". At current Model 3 production rates, 6 months = 130K cars. Assume only 10% of people buy FSD and you still have 13,000 cars to swap computers on!
I had full self driving listed in the options section on my vehicle details page, but now it is gone. Curious if others have had the same thing happen?
There may be more changes needed than the processor upgrade to get close to FSD. Tesla may not want the potential liability of upgrading hundreds of thousands of model 3s.
