Replacing Studs LR

Anybody replace studs on a model 3 LR or Performance?

Sadly I have to drill out these studs to get these cheap lug nuts off. These are the only two the extractor did not work on so drilling out seems to be the only option.

To those whom have replaced studs, did you follow a write up? I’m hoping to not have to take the brakes off and all that. Just a simple drill out, knock out, put new one in and call it a day.

P.S. spend the money on lugs. I’m pretty disappointed in myself for doing this to a brand new set of TE37’s.

Thank you. I searched that thread and there were no updates nor did they reply if they did a fix. Hoping to find some insight here with folks whom may have done a stud replacement or not. I think i will have to drill out the stud on these two and call it a day.

That looks like fun

You'll at least need to remove the rotors, knock the old studs out, then pull the new ones through using a stack of oiled up washers under a nut or a proper stud tool

Thank you for the help MPP! I have some washers, oil and a couple sacrificial lugs to pull them into the hub. I'm hoping it's not too painful of a process!
