Premium connectivity

Did anyone’s premium connectivity actually stop working today. Mine still works (2018 model s) but I thought it was ending?

Mine still works also, MCU 1 so hopefully they were just testing the water to see how many people would sign up for it.

I think most of us were told that we would get one year for free but Tesla recently said that the trial would end on December 31, 2019.

What would MCI1 cars get from it? When I bought my car it said it would have 7 years of free connectivity. That was back in 2014.

As I understand it, prem connectivity gets you slacker/tune in/Spotify plus live traffic and sat maps...if you car is made before 2015, you may still have the prem connectivity...

What would MCI1 cars get from it? When I bought my car it said it would have 7 years of free connectivity. That was back in 2014.

David99, I think those of us before July '18 are grandfathered in with no monthly charge. Regular connectivity for us is paid for by Tesla. Before 1 July '18, it wasn't divided into Premium and "other" connectivity.

@aerodyne, @Ostrichsak, I am pretty sure the Premium Connectivity start date where "they" have to pay is 1 July 18. Those before that date are all free (for us).

Correct, mine is a 6/15, but bought used from Tesla 9/18...so I think I am SOL...but we will see.

I noticed this morning the Account - View Details section about Premium Connectivity was removed, but I just checked again and it is back. Mine indicates Free Unlimited, as it did prior to this morning. The purchase date for my new Model S was March 22, 2018.

This isn't what I was sold.

For $120 a year, its worth pursuing then. But I have considered a new car which means paying for connectivity. The $10 a month is cheap.
