I'm getting confused between this thread and the Project Better Place one.

Have re-read, I agree with JRP3. Swapping batteries seems to invoke too many compromises for not enough benefit and long range driving usually involves luggage and extra passengers and so may not be appropriate for BEVs.

Seems an expensive route for Tesla.

Has Elon been misquoted or lost the plot?

(Or is his spandex getting too tight)

I'm pretty sure Elon has not been misquoted.

Sorry. That's what happens when I actually try to make some progress on my thesis. There's been a lot of activity on the forum lately and it's a little hard to keep up. Not sure you guys notice how much shuffling around of posts I end up doing on a regular basis to keep things somewhat in order.
